“Cutis” mentioned in the service agreement refers to an application software product (hereinafter referred to as “this application”) developed, applied, and managed by Hangzhou C2H4 Internet Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “C2H4 Technology” or “the Company”). This application provides services such as skin photo testing, skin type and skin problem reports, personalized skin care solutions, and professional skin care knowledge, aiming to help you better understand and manage your skin.
This agreement is an agreement between you and C2H4 Technology regarding the use of this service. The content includes the main text of the agreement and various rules that C2H4 Technology has published or may publish in the future. All rules are an integral part of this agreement and have the same legal effect as the main text of the agreement. Unless otherwise expressly stated, your use of this service will be subject to this agreement.
According to changes in national laws and the needs of website operation, C2H4 Technology has the right to adjust and modify the terms of this agreement and related rules. The modified content will take effect once it is published in any form on this application and will replace the previous relevant content. If you do not agree with the updated content, you should immediately stop using this application; if you continue to use this application, it will be deemed that you are aware of the changes and agree to accept them.
The intellectual property rights of all versions, technologies, programs, materials, and all information content (including but not limited to product functions, user interfaces, operation steps, trademarks, patents, and computer software works) inherent in this application belong to C2H4 Technology. C2H4 Technology’s software use license to you shall in no case be deemed as a transfer of part or all of the intellectual property rights to you.
All content published on this application and all content actively published or authorized to be published on this application by you, including but not limited to text, pictures, videos, etc., are protected by current laws, regulations, rules, and international conventions regarding copyright, trademark rights, patent rights, and/or other property ownership laws. The Company has the right to use and re-edit and produce.
Without the Company’s express written special authorization, no one may use for any purpose, provide, disclose, copy, reproduce, sell, transfer, license, market, publish, lecture, transfer, dispose of, or utilize any content or service provided on this application, or mirror on a server not belonging to the Company. Otherwise, the Company will pursue economic compensation and other infringement legal liabilities in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
If you do not comply with this agreement or engage in other illegal or malicious use of this website, the Company reserves the right to pursue legal liability.
The services provided by this application may include: software, text, pictures, sounds, recordings, etc. All these contents are protected by copyright, trademark, and other property ownership laws.
You can only use these contents after obtaining the authorization of C2H4 Technology or other relevant rights holders. You cannot copy or reproduce these contents without authorization or create derivative products related to the contents.
This application encourages you to publish and share your own information. However, these contents must be in the public domain, and at the same time, you need to have the legal copyright and related rights to the published content. If you publish content protected by intellectual property rights of others without authorization, you will bear the consequences of infringement personally. If a third party complains to this application and submits evidence and the complaint is proven valid, this application will delete these contents.
The intellectual property rights of the content you generate or publish in this application belong to you. You agree to authorize C2H4 Technology the necessary rights to use the information content you generate during the service process for the purpose of providing, optimizing this service, and promoting the service. C2H4 Technology will make every effort to use the above information within a reasonable range, and your necessary authorization does not mean that C2H4 Technology will necessarily use the above information content, nor does it change your ownership and intellectual property rights of the above information content, nor does it affect any legal use of the above content information by you.
The content of this application may include advertisements, which is a reasonable and legal business model of C2H4 Technology. You agree to receive advertising information published by this application and its third-party partners during the use of this application.
You are responsible for the authenticity and legality of the pictures and text information you publish in this application. You shall not use this application to produce the following content:
(1) Information that endangers national and social security, which may include but is not limited to opposing the basic principles established by the Constitution; endangering national security, disclosing state secrets, subverting state power, and undermining national unity; inciting ethnic hatred and discrimination and undermining ethnic unity; undermining national religious policies, advocating cults and feudal superstitions; spreading rumors, disturbing social order, and undermining social stability; advocating gambling, violence, homicide, terrorism, or abetting crimes; inciting illegal assemblies, associations, processions, demonstrations, and gathering crowds to disrupt social order; containing other content prohibited by laws, administrative regulations, and national regulations.
(2) Obscene and pornographic information, which may include but is not limited to publishing obscene and pornographic content, including but not limited to soliciting prostitutes, looking for one-night stands, sexual partners, etc.; publishing erotic text, erotic videos, erotic pictures, etc. for the purpose of pornography; regularly publishing content that is on the verge of or has sexual implications with obscene and pornographic content.
(3) Infringing information, which may include but is not limited to producing, publishing, and storing content that infringes on the legitimate rights of others such as reputation rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, and intellectual property rights.
(4) Unfair competition information, which may include but is not limited to publishing content with modified, added, or deleted rights identifiers; publishing content without the authorization of the authorized party, etc.
(5) Other information that violates laws, regulations, policies, and social public order and good customs or interferes with the normal operation of this application and infringes on the legitimate rights and interests of any third party.
If you have the above illegal or infringing behavior, C2H4 Technology has the right to take appropriate measures immediately, including but not limited to: deleting the illegal information content, terminating the software use license for you and stopping all technical services, and resorting to law enforcement agencies or judicial organs. If you cause losses to yourself or cause damage to C2H4 Technology and/or a third party due to your illegal or improper use of this application, you shall bear all responsibilities.
These terms apply to the subscription services provided by the Cutis App and supplement the general user agreement. By subscribing to any Cutis plan, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.

(2) Auto-Renewal
All subscriptions are set to auto-renew by default. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your subscription will automatically renew, and your account will be charged accordingly. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings under ‘Subscriptions’.
(3) Refund Policy
Refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Store are handled by Apple. If you are eligible for a refund, you may submit your request through Apple’s support platform at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Cutis is unable to process refunds directly.
(4) Termination
You may terminate your subscription at any time by canceling it through your Apple ID settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Cutis services if you violate our terms of use or engage in any misuse of the platform.
(5) Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
C2H4 Technology, the developer of the Cutis app, has been exploring artificial intelligence (AI)-based methods for facial skin analysis. The company’s patented technique (CN104299011A), developed by founder Liang Wu, segments facial images and extracts features to evaluate skin conditions such as acne, pigmentation, and pores. This approach aims to support users in gaining a preliminary understanding of their skin conditions.
Several peer-reviewed studies have reported the accuracy and reliability of models similar to or related to those used in C2H4 Technology’s systems:
A deep learning model for facial pore detection achieved an accuracy of 91.5% and a correlation coefficient of 0.903 compared to expert grading (PMC10993051).
In a large-scale study involving over one million Chinese individuals, the facial skin classification model achieved over 90% accuracy in skin tone categorization and consistent performance across demographics (DOI: 10.1111/srt.13492).
In another study assessing 30,000+ users, skin type prediction (dry, oily, sensitive, etc.) based on facial imagery reached an AUC (Area Under the Curve) value of 0.87 (PMC10280608).
A convolutional neural network trained to classify acne severity showed over 85% classification accuracy, with top-1 accuracy for multi-class acne grading between 85% and 90% (PubMed ID: 39297705).
These findings reflect the technical feasibility and relative accuracy of AI-based skin detection tools under large-scale or clinical settings. However, users should be aware that such tools are designed for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice or diagnosis. For clinical evaluation, consultation with qualified dermatologists is recommended.

The use of this application may be affected by force majeure or other factors including but not limited to: political reasons, social environment, natural disasters, economic crises, computer viruses or hacker attacks, server or system instability, your specific location, any technical capabilities, network quality, communication lines, computer failures, etc. (hereinafter collectively referred to as “exemption reasons”). If the above exemption reasons occur, C2H4 Technology will make every effort to repair or remedy in a timely manner. If it causes losses to you, C2H4 Technology is exempt from liability within the scope permitted by applicable laws and policies.
C2H4 Technology does not guarantee that the services of this application will definitely meet your needs, nor does it guarantee that the application will not interrupt services. This application will improve the accuracy of detection and the precision of product recommendation as much as possible, but does not guarantee that the detection effect is 100% accurate, nor does it guarantee that the recommended products are 100% effective. The skin care services provided by this application (including but not limited to skin care product usage suggestions and care method suggestions) are given based on your skin type test results and the current knowledge reserve. It does not guarantee the timeliness, safety, accuracy, and completeness of the services. You need to choose carefully before taking skin care actions. You are responsible for all results caused by using the services of this application, and C2H4 Technology does not bear any responsibility.
When you upload photos, personal information, and other materials to the Internet, they may be copied, reproduced, altered, or used for other illegal purposes by other organizations or individuals. You must fully realize the existence of such risks. If you continue to use this application, it indicates that you have realized such risks. If you are infringed by a third party or infringe on a third party, C2H4 Technology does not bear any responsibility.
If you are not a natural person with full civil rights and full civil capacity, you have no right to use this application. Therefore, this application does not expect you to provide any personal information, including your name, photo, address, phone number, etc.
